Retrospective Facilitator Pro

Ten formats, local vote counts and an action tracker that keeps reflection moving.

Purpose

Turn reflection into practical improvements that are revisited, not forgotten. Choose a format that fits the team and make room for quieter voices.

When to use

  • Retrospectives repeat the same issues.
  • Teams need different ways to reflect and prioritise action.

What you get

  • Ten retrospective formats with facilitation tips and local voting.
  • An action log with owners, review dates and follow-through prompts.

How to use Retrospective Facilitator

Quick start

  1. 1Pick a format, or randomise to avoid fatigue.
  2. 2Gather input, then vote.
  3. 3Leave with at most three actions, each with an owner and a review date.

What good looks like

Actions reopen at the next retro, quieter voices appear in the input, and the same complaint does not return unchanged for a third time.

Common mistakes

  • The same three questions every fortnight.
  • No action log.
  • Voting without time-boxed owners.

Monday action: Schedule the next retro with a named format and an open action log from the last one.

Votes are local counts, not anonymous multi-user voting. Items remain saved when you change format. Vote on priorities, then discuss the reasons before agreeing actions.
